About Us

Vice Provost Carolyn de la Pena

Welcome to Undergraduate Education.

Our office is dedicated to ensuring that UC Davis undergraduates fully participate in the dynamic intellectual life of our research university. In addition to serving as campus advocates for undergraduates, we offer a variety of programs to enhance the learning experiences available at UC Davis.

Here, students will find individualized, challenging, and career-building experiences.  We encourage students to explore our programs and take a first step towards an internship in Washington D.C., a hands-on original research partnership with a renowned scholar, or a new set of skills in for twenty-first-century leadership.

For faculty and instructors, our Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning offers expert advice on teaching large and small classes and incorporating technological tools to enhance instructional creativity and collaboration.  Our Assessment Coordinators help explore how students learn effectively in our courses and majors.  For those in STEM fields, iAMSTEM Hub provides new analytic tools and approaches to inform instruction and maximize student success.

Step through these virtual portals, and then through the physical doors of our campus centers where skilled mentors await. You will soon discover that at UC Davis a world-class education takes place within and beyond our classroom walls.
