Associate Vice Provost, Academic Programs
Milmon F. Harrison is associate vice provost for Academic Programs in Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Davis.
He is also an associate professor in the African American and African Studies Department, where he has taught for 25 years. He is a proud alumnus of the University of California, having earned an undergraduate degree at UC Davis and a Master of Arts Degree and doctoral degree at UC Santa Barbara.
Harrison is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research and teaching interests include African American history and culture, religiosity, migration and storytelling. He is currently working on a book about the Black presence in California’s Great Central Valley, from the 19th century to the present.
